Side-entry Agitators
Variants
We supply the following variants of side-entry agitators: #)
|
 |
 | Stationary Agitators |
| for blending refinery products |
 | Swivel-arm Agitators |
| may be swivelled by 30° to either side in order to prevent material from being deposited in crude-oil tanks and to avoid sediments in storage tanks |
 | High-temperature Agitators |
| applicable up to 220 °C, e.g. for bitumen |
| Materials: | Parts in contact with the product made of steel or stainless steel (or optional, as requested by customer) |
| Manhole lid: | According to DIN or ASA or per client request (Material per client request)
|
| Propeller Speed: | 360 rpm - standard (or per client request) |
| Drive Performance: | 3 to 55 kW |
Drive Units
Due to the special structure of the drive unit we offer a non-split, absolutely smoothly running impeller shaft with little wear and minimum cost of maintenance. The special structure of our drive units provides an extremely short casing safeguarding a very small momentum for the tank wall. Thus no anchoring and no support are required. Our drive unit will require only 2 oil changes per year. There are no additional lubricating points to be maintained. The rotating mechanical seal, with its long-proven design, is located at the far end of the shaft, i.e. it is extremely well protected and easy to exchange.
Bayonet Socket
The proven bayonet socket seals the drive unit from the tank in a simple manner. All repair work may thus also be carried out with a full tank.
Special Accessories
| Drive unit with integrated level monitor | (also in the EX variant) |
| Drive unit with leakage monitor | (also in the EX variant) |
Recommendations for Assembly
 |
(A) Product Tanks For blending operations in the product tanks, fixed drive units are used. Installation is oriented by the inlet nozzle, as seen in the illustration. |
 |
(B) Crude Oil Tanks In this case, sediments must be avoided at the bottom of the tank. For this purpose the swivel variant was designed. For these tanks the assembly point must be exactly opposite the inlet nozzle. |
Deployment
Outside-entry agitators are deployed, among others, in the following industrial fields:
- Chemical Industry
- Refineries and the Petrochemical Industry
- Wastewater conditioning
All types are structured by a modular design concept, thus the respective spare parts are, for the most part, interchangeable.
