General Information
The standard RS series was developed for medium performance requirements. Within this product line the various drives, seals, and agitator types may be freely combined with each other.
- The main components of the agitators are the single-part and robust bearing lanterns. They contain duplicated roller bearings to accommodate the bearing shafts which are dimensioned for all the types of loads that may occur during mixing. Shocks in the direction of the drive unit are absorbed by means of a resilient coupling.
- Any drive unit that works with a constant torque or is mechanically and/or electronically driven may be used. You may choose spur gear, flat drive, or bevel-gear drive, but also belt drives or hydraulic motors may be used.
- To seal the agitator shaft, you may use lip seals, gland-flange seals and rotating mechanical seals. The materials used for seal manufacture will be adapted to the respective requirements.
- The flange used for the assembly may be executed pursuant to DIN or to other standards. For self-supporting constructions to be used on open vessels, the flange will be an assembly disc.
- Dimensioning of the agitators for the best possible mixing results will be carried out in co-ordination with our clients by the PREMA-SERVICE engineers.

The indicated weight does not include the assembly flange, motor, and seals.
